Biography

Hepzibah was a daughter of William & Mary (Houghton) Sawyer. She and her siblings Aholiab, Mary, and Annah were baptized at Lancaster, Massachusetts, on 1 July 1711.^{[1] [2][3]}

She married first William Whitcomb, son of Hezekiah & Hannah (Green) Whitcomb, on 25 Feb 1729/30 at Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts.^[4] Their children were Abigail, Thankful, Relief, Hannah, Hepzibah & Mary. ^[2]

After the death of William she married Increase Powers, son of Daniel & Martha (Bates) Powers, about 1741. Their children were Dinah, Timothy & Hepzibah. ^[2]
