Research Notes

Mary is listed as being deceased in the obituary for her mother who died 27 Jun 1935. There is a Mary Scanlon listed in the records who died on 20 Feb 1926 with a father of Edward Scanlon but the mother is listed as Bridget Bryant rather than Bridget Delaney. Examining the address, one can see that it does match the address of Edward Scanlon and Bridget Delaney from 1920 as well as the 1930 census for Bridget but the City Directory for 1925 shows Bridget and Mary both living at the address in the death record with Bridget listed as a widow (Edward having died the year prior). Also, the headstone for the family does list her death as 1926 although the year of birth is listed as 1898 rather than 1894.
