Biography

Caspar SCHAEFFER[1] was born 13 April 1709 in Sprantal. His baptism was sponsored by Jerg Spahr (a bricklayer in Ruith), Johannes Bigelmeyer (the Carpenter from Ruith), and Anna Maria Leicht (single, from Ruith). These same 3 people sponsored the baptisms of Caspar's older brothers, Johann Jacob, and Henrich. Caspar (only) had a fourth sponsor of his baptism: Anna Maria Beck, wife of Caspar Beck from Ruith[2]

Research note

Marriage and death record refer to a Caspar Schäfer which was the son of Caspar Schäfer from Murr. He also had a different birth date. Most likely two profiles got mixed here and should be separated.
