Biography
Naomi Schauer Denny was born on Tuesday, June 22, 1897 in Bellevue, Allegheny County, PA. She was the oldest of two daughters born to Jortin "John" Eugene Schauer and Anna Eva "Annie" Denhart Schauer. Her sister, Virginia Philomena Schauer, was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1907. Naomi completed the eighth grade in Bellevue public schools. She was employed as a bookkeeper prior to her marriage on Valentines Day, Saturday, February 14, 1920 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Bellevue to Clarence Hagen Denny. He was employed as a draftsman. They had one daughter, Margaret Anne "Peggy" Denny and were married thirty-two years until his death on Wednesday, October 29, 1952. Naomi was a widow for twenty-nine years before she passed away at the age of 84 at the Passavant Health Center on Monday, December 14, 1981 in Zelienople, Butler County, PA.
