Anna Maria Catharina (Catharina) Schurtz/Shertz was born in about 1719. She was the daughter of Andreas Schurtz and Catharina Apollonia Stiever. She was christened 1 February 1719 in the Saint Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Camp, Ulster, New York. Kocherthal baptism notice Feb. 1 1719 for Anna Catharina, #412 in Olde Ulster transcription, lists parents as Andreas and Catharina Apollina Schurtz. Witnesses were Jerg Schürtz and Anna Catharina daughter of Peter Philipp [paternal uncle and aunt] (3, 343).
Jones proposes that she married Johannes Emmerich Schauerman (Jones p. 945).
