Biography

Volga German
Anna Dorothea (Schneider) Kaiser was a Volga German.
Anna Dorothea (Schneider) Kaiser has German Roots.

Family #81 in the 1798 Grimm census.
Family #68 in the 1834 Grimm census.
Family #72 in the 1857 Grimm census.

Anna Dorothea Schneider was born in 1780 in Grimm, Russia, to parents Johann Georg Schneider and Christina Barbara (Trauenfelder) Schneider. She is first listed in the 1798 census, when she would have been 18 years old. At that time, she was a worker in Messer (Ust-Zolikha), a neighboring colony to Grimm.

1798 Grimm Census [1]

Family # 81

Anna Dorothea married her husband by 1807, and by 1834, she had four documented male children. She may have had female children born before 1818 and married before 1834, living in different households. For this reason, the only way to identify them would be through church birth records.

Anna Dorothea is not mentioned in the 1857 census, and her husband had passed away. While it's possible that she remarried after her husband's death and lived in another family, the most likely scenario is that she, too, had passed away. Had she lived to 1857, she would have been 77 years old. I'm showing the entry from the 1857 census to shows the connections to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
