Agnes Alma (Schriver) Bragdon was born on 26 Jan 1883 in Hartfield, York County, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of George Henry Schriver (1848 - 1918) and Margaret Lavine (Foster) Schriver (1848 - 1922).
