I agree with Eric's comments that Catherine Scot b 1478 who married Sandilands is not the daughter of William Scott and Sibyl Lewknor named by Richardson (see Sibyl's profile). Two reasons: (1) Richardson doesn't name her husband. (2) Sibyl's mother married Sibyl's father after her first husband died - in 1468.
There's an obvious error in the parentage of the Catherine Scott who married James Sandilands. As stated below, she should be detached from these parents and attached to Scot-9 and Isabelle Moncrieffe, his wife. She is of the Scottish (Balwearie) Scots and not the Kentish Scotts.
Richardson does not name the husband of daughter Katherine. I believe James Sandilands of Cruvie and St Monans married Catherine, the daughter of Sir William of Balwearie (see The east neuk of Fife: its history and antiquities), the descendant of the Scottish Balwearies rather the Kentish Scotts. This genealogy recurs in other sources (e.g., Stirnet). In short, I think both parents are incorrect and Catherine should be linked to Scot-9, William 7th of Balwearie, her probable father. Eric
I detached this profile from the profiles of William Scott and his wife Sibyl Lewknor.
