Biography

William was born May 10, 1852. He is the son of James Seay and Eliza Gillett. [1] His death certificate indicates his vocation was Farrier[2]

W.M. Seay was married to Martha Whaley. They had one son, Henry T. Seay who is also buried at Oakwood. He then married Addie Morgan in Sevier,Tennessee. They left Tennessee in 1901, arriving in Spartanburg County,S.C.to work at Drayton Mills.[3]

Rev. Seay Is Buried in the Potter's Field section of Oakwood City Cemetery in Spartanburg, SC. There is no plot number or grave marker.[4]
