Reuben Seay Jr. was born in 1805, the son of Reuben Seay and Mary A. (Jones) Seay. He was the brother of Hezekiah H. Seay, Ira Seay, Martha (Seay) Brannon, Polley Seay, Mary (Seay) Bishop, Mathew Seay, Samuel Seay, Sarah Seay, Judith (Seay) Brannon, James R. Seay, Elizabeth Seay, Lucy (Seay) Blackwell and Elizabeth (Seay) Parks. Rueben, his mother and siblings are all mentioned in his American Revolutionary War Pension Application. ^[1]

Reuben married Emaline Lewis.

Emaline died aroung 1957, about the age of 45 Rueben is enumerated living with his daughter Lucy Seay Knight and her family in the 1880 Census. ^[2] He died in Tennessee. ^[3]
