Biography

Frank was born Ference Sebök in 1875 in Székelyzsombor, Udvarhely, Kingdom of Hungary (now Jimbor, Centru, Romania). The identities of his parents are presently unknown, though his mother's maiden name was Benko. In about 1902, he married Roza Mari Peto (1871-1937) in Székelyzsombor, with whom he had at least five children. While in Hungary, Frank worked as a cobbler. In 1905, he decided to immigrate to the United States, with his wife and son joining him later that year. After arrival, they settled in Lake County, Indiana, living in East Chicago and Gary. In 1920, Frank and his family moved to San Bernardino County, California, living in Fontana, Colton, and San Bernardino. In both Indiana and California, Frank owned and operated his own general store. Frank died in 1951 in San Bernardino and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino.
