Obituary

Funeral services were conducted from the Raleigh Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon for Manning Sellers, 57, who passed away at his home here at an early hour Monday morning following an illness of several weeks. The services were conducted by Revs. Boozer, Cranford, and Brantley and interment was made in the North Raleigh Cemetery. Deceased was born and reared near old Bezer in this county and his entire life has been spent in this county. Several years ago he moved to Raleigh and for some time was engaged in the mercantile business here. He was a good citizen, a man of lovable nature and numbered his friends by his acquaintances. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Mayfield Sellers, three brothers, Tolbert and Grover Sellers, of Raleigh, and Louis [Lura] Sellers, of Richton; and one sister, Mrs. Luther McLaurin, of Collins. [2]
