Fact: Military Service Enlisted June 1, 1863 in the 6th South Carolina Cavalry Regiment (Dixie Rangers, Aiken's Partisan Rangers, 1st Partisan Rangers). Captured December 10, 1864 at Armstrong Mills, Virginia and sent as a prisoner of war to Camp Lookout, Maryland. Released June 19, 1865 and walked home to South Carolina.
