Private James Sellers served with 4th North Carolina Regiment, Continental Army during the American Revolution.

James Sellers is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A208891.

James Sellers was born circa 1759 and was living in Chatham county, North Carolina, at the time of the American Revolutionary War. James entered the military as a Private, in Captain Matthew Ramsey's Company, under the command of Colonel James Thackston. [1][2]

James is honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as DAR Ancestor #A208891. DAR records indicate that James died December 20, 1842, in Grainger county, Tennessee. Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the Descendants of his son, James Sellers, Jr. who married Elizabeth Brock. [3]
