In 1849, their only child, Nathan Shannon Marshall was born. He appeared on the 1850 Census as Nathan, but later was known as Shannon. Shannon married a woman named Matilda, and they had two children, Emily J Marshall and George D Marshall. Shannon, his wife an two children lived with his parents, George and Jane in 1880.
In 1851, George, Jane and Shannon moved to Lane County, Oregon, where they were pioneers.
Nathan Shannon's will of 1881 listed a distribution "... to my daughter Jane Marshall of Oregon".
