Biography

Born Isaac Shannon after his father, he later took on the name of William in honour of his grandfather, William Shannon, who raised him.

William Isaac Shannon was born March 20, 1861, son of Isaac Shannon and Catherine Cunningham.

His father died during the Civil War, and his mother died shortly after.

William went to live with his grandparents, Isaac Shannon and Bethiah Ferguson in Ohio.

Shannon-1679 and Shannon-1775 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same birthdate and same birthplace.
