Catherine was born in 1821^[1] in Upper Canada (Ontario).^[2][3] She was the daughter of William E Shaver and Mary Catherine Book.

Catherine married Jacob Kreamer. Their children were:

• Mary Catherine Kreamer, born about 1846^[4]
• Caroline Kreamer, born about 1849^[5][6]
• Elizabeth Charity Kreamer, born about 1850^[7]
• William Wallace Kreamer, born about 1855^[8]
