Hezekiah Shelton was a Virginia colonist.

Hezekiah was born about 1733 in Essex County, Virginia Colony. He was the son of Ralph Shelton, Jr. and Susanna Mary Daniel. He passed away after 1806 in Lincoln County, Kentucky.

Hezekiah married Jane Unknown possibly around 1760-1770 and probably in Essex County, Virginia Colony. No marriage record has been found. One of their sons, Benjamin, was born about 1770.

1779 Listed in Henry County, Virginia Tax list[1]
1779 About 1779 Hezekiah signed a petition to Congress asking for repeal of 9 cents a gallon tax on distilled spirits.[2]
1787 Named in will of father, Ralph Shelton, Jr., dated 3 April 1787 and proved 30 March 1789 in Henry County, Virginia.[3]
1791-1795 Hezekiah was taxed on 209 acres which he acquired from James Shelton in Patrick County, Virginia.[4]
1802 8 May 1802 became a member of Big Springs Primitive Baptist Church, Claiborne County, Tennessee.[5]
1803 11 June 1803 Hezekiah and wife Jane were "dismissed by letter" from Big Springs Primitive Baptist Church; they were moving out of the area.[6]
1806 Hezekiah gave consent to marriage of daughter Frances to Jesse Littrell 16 June 1806 in Adair County, KY.[7]
