Biography

John Proctor Shepard was born March 6, 1877 in Concord Community, Hunt County, Texas to Robert Sanford Shepard and Hepzibah Denman Lasiter. On July 12, 1899 he married Lela McBride in Hunt County, Texas. They produced five children: Aline B, Gladys, Estelle, William Grady and Janie Ruth. John passed away September 19, 1943 in Hale Center, Texas. He is buried in Plainview, Texas in Plainview Cemetery.
