Biography

Luther Shepherd lived in Appalachia, in North Carolina.

Luther was born in 1892. He was the son of John Shepherd and Louisa Dalton. He passed away in 1973.

Luther was registered for the draft by John E. Rickman on June 5, 1917 in Cowee Precinct, Macon County, North Carolina. His residence was listed as Leatherman in Macon County. and his occupation as farming.

In the 1947 city directory for Gastonia, North Carolina, Luther and his wife, Ethel, lived on the Bessemer City Road. His occupation was listed as a carpenter (also listed on his death certificate).
