Uriah Sherrill's father Samuel is a proven North Carolina patriot for having signed the petition at Watauga. Uriah's widow was denied pension for lack of proof. The DAR lists three marriages 1) Betsy Clark 2) F Dobson 3) Elizabeth Thompson. Son Samuel m. Mary Parks. Son George m. Ruth Wilson.[1] All of his children were with his second wife, Frances Dobson.
