Ted Sherrill, 63, of Crossville, passed away June 11, 2000, at Cumberland Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted June 14 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Linary Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Smith officiated. Mr. Sherrill was born Aug. 1, 1936, in Cumberland County, the son of Ike and Reva Leffew Sherrill. He was a rock quarry worker, and he was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include five daughters, Jennifer Turner, Gail Sherrill, Angie Shelton and Mary Kerley, all of Crossville, and Debbie Stogner of Foxworth, MI; three sons, David Sherrill, Sam Sherrill and Dewayne Sherrill, all of Crossville; three sisters, Marjie Barnette of Crossville, Virginia Beaty of Zyril, OK, and Oma Lee Brumfield of Zephyrhills, FL; 22 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Miller Sherrill. Pallbearers were Doyle Davis, Daniel Sherrill, Richard Kerley, Michael Hammons, Christopher Nicholas, Stacy Shelton and Archie Jennings. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
