Mary was born about 1655. Mary Sherwood passed away about 1687. [1]
William Sims probably married twice. He probably married first, circa 1677. The maiden name of his first wife, Mary, was probably Sherwood. This is based upon a grandson being named Sherwood Sims. She probably died in 1687 in Bruton Parish, Virginia.[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Sherwood-4191 and Sherwood-1578 appear to represent the same person because: same first name, last name, maiden name, birth location, death state, spouse, son Edward.
Sherwod-1 and Sherwood-1578 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate. This and the husband profile is a bit of a mess this merge seems correct despite the husband birth differences. The sources are scant. Sherwod appears to be a typo
I see my dates for Mary were incorrect. I hope the link to this source works.
