Mary Shockey was born about 1772, possible daughter of Christopher Shockey and Rosanna.
Note: May or may not come from Isaac as the Shockey Chronicles show the mother to be Rosanna and that the father Mr. Shockey died abt 1785. We believe she is a child of Christopher.

Shockey paternal relationship is confirmed by a triangulated group on GEDmatch and on 23andMe who share a 12.8 cM segment on chromosome 3, consisting of Ben Smith, GEDmatch kit # T581222, and Jeffrey Niles, his 6th cousin 2x removed, GEDmatch kit # WE2739068, and BJH, his 6th cousin 2x removed. (Jeffrey and BJH are 6th cousins.) Their most-recent common ancestors are Johann Schacke and Barbara Hess, the 5x great grandparents of Ben Smith and 7x great grandparents of both Jeffrey Niles and BJH. I have marked her relationship with Christopher as "confident" because it is still in the realm of possibility that Christopher was not her father (though I believe he was) and that her Shockey DNA came from one of the other Shockey branches (though I do not believe she did). The DNA triangulation, however, does confirm that she comes from the clan of Johann Schacke, her grandfather.
Shockey paternal relationship is confirmed by a triangulated group on GEDmatch who share a 20 cM segment on chromosome 16, consisting of LME, GEDmatch kit # T927820, and LaTasha (Shockey) Jackson, her 4th cousin 3x removed, GEDmatch kit # T093461, and Brian Kunde, her 5th cousin 2x removed, GEDmatch kit # KG7493857. (LaTasha and Brian Kunde are 7th cousins 1x removed.) Their most-recent common ancestors are Johann Schacke and Barbara Hess, the 4x great grandparents of LME, 7x great grandparents of LaTasha (Shockey) Jackson and 6x great grandparents of Brian Kunde. See above note regarding confirmation and confidence level.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Shockey-432 and Shockey-39 appear to represent the same person because: Same child. As we believe Mary Elizabeth was the child of Christian who was hung for using counterfeit money and not the daughter of his brother Isaac.
There is another profile for her (Shockey-39), but currently lists Isaac Shockey as the father. However, the biography admits she may be the daughter of Christian Shockey. If she was daughter of Christian Shockey, shouldn't the father on the Shockey-39 be changed to Christian Shockey, and then the two profiles merged.
Shockey-692 and Shockey-432 appear to represent the same person because: Apparently the father didn't show up the same so didn't see it but same person.
This profile appears to have died before his two youngest children were born.
Henry was born the year his dad died 1779 which is possible.
But Mary born in 1882 just does not fit
Would appreciate it if you could review if he is the guy that hung in 1779 :)
