Hello, Merle. I have added marriage information to the profile of Lawrence Sammons and Orpha Morton. These are my great grandparents, and I would be happy to add more information to them, if you approve.

Thanks! Shelia Barbosa

Merle, I agree about your comment concerning John Henry Fry and Millicent O'Neal. I think I became a profile mgr on Johann Frey by adopting an orphan (don't remember).

In my personal tree, I have a Johann Heinrich Frey, but born in 1693 in France and as the Father of my John Henry Fry born 1732 in PA.

Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

Hi, Merle. Thanks for adding more info for our elusive Belden's! Re: Ella/Eleanor's marriage date to Henry Blakeslee - I'm estimating 1885-1886 based on the 1900 US Census for Spring Creek indicating son Clayton was born about 1886 and is 13 years old. (The record says he was born in 1866, but that looks to me like a transcription error.) Next time I'm in Warren County I'll see what records may be available. Happy hunting!

Merle!

Hello from across Wikitree (I manage a 'few' Depew profiles myself, and if you'd like, please subscribe to the "Depew" family edits on here).

I also figured I'd invite you to join 'The Depew Family' facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/289645541197719/ that I (and a few others on here) manage.

I've been working since early 2014 to try to link the Depew/DePew name to anyone earlier than about 1700, and also to see who all the cousins/sons/daughters are (there were a couple early generations of 11 kids each, but I am only of -one- of those links).

I hope this comment finds you well, and look forward to hopefully hearing back from you soon!

Hi again Merle, My Grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Carpenter, daughter of our Lucena Showers-Carpenter, was born in Deposit, NY 1876. I haven't been in that part of the US since a trip in 1961 when we went to my father's home town in KA, saw his brother and Mom's cousins in Ohio, an aunt and more cousins in PA, MA, ME, VT and NY. I met Briggs, Carpenter, Showers, and other cousins. It was a fantastic trip for an only child living far from relatives. I ended up with a photo of Mom at age 3 so it was taken in 1906, a picture of one of my grandmother's grandmothers, and others on tin and some other kind of very old metal pictures. A distant cousin gave me a letter between cousins written in the 1860s. It created a desire to know how it all fit together. Retirement gave me more time for that.

Hi Merle, I saw you created a profile for Catharina (Busch) Husted. I'm reasonably certain her husband was Caleb Husted, so I connected them. Let me know if that's off base and I'll fix it, but it doesn't seem like there was another woman by that name at that time. Thanks for growing the tree--and for your public service--Heather

I wondered this morning whether people who are only at a relatively low level on G2G points, were dropouts or just more interested in working on profiles. I picked you first at random and was peased to see you are steadily working on building your tree. So I gave you a thank you and this attaboy. Keep up the good work.

Hi Merle. thanks for your request to merge my Heinrich Fry with your Heinrich Frey. However, skeptic that I am, I do not think they are the same person. For one thing, the birth dates are 23 years different. Therefore, I do not want to do the merge at this time.

Thank you for your interest, Joan
