DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Andrew by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Andrew:

Karen, thanks for catching this! This is part of a now-and-again project to try to sort out all of the Meadows/Meadors matches in my autosomal DNA (I have documented 5th cousins showing up as projected 2nd and 3rd DNA cousins), and it looks like I've skipped a generation here.

I'll try to get this fixed. Also copy your message to the bio for Thomas -- since you have some good sources.

Anne Meador Simmons died 1823 Smith Co., TN. Thomas Simmons died 1843 Macon Co. TN. Both buried in Simmons Cemetery Macon Co., TN.

After Anne died, Thomas deeded all his land and personal property to his children who promised to support him.

Smith Co., TN Book K Page 299, A division of property by Thomas Simmons, 5 October 1829. Children Lucy Meador, wife of John, Susannah Woodcock, wife of Mark, Franky Meador, wife of Jehu, Mary Holland, wife of Asa & son Christopher all of Smith Co. TN. He gives a Susanna a negro man named Luke; to daughter Franky, a negro man named Bob, to daughter Lucy a negro man named Dick; to daughter Mary Holland, a negro woman named Tiller and a boy named Sam; and to my son Chris Simmons my land and plantation whereon I now live.
