Mariota (St.Clair) Home is a member of Clan Sinclair.
Mariota (St.Clair) Home was born in Scotland.
Mariota was the eldest daughter of John St.Clair, of Polwarth, Berwickshire, by his spouse Katherine, daughter of Alexander Home of that Ilk, & Dunglass.[1] She was co-heiress to her grandfather.
As wife of George Home of Wedderburn,[1] she had a Sasine of the lands of Polwarth dated 10th November 1475.
Mariotta married twice. A charter dated 29th October 1497 confirmed the lands of Samuelstown in Haddingtonshire upon Alexander 2nd Lord Home and his spouse Nichola Ker.[2] Presumably Samuelstown then passed via their daughter (possibly as dowry) Mariota to her husband, George Ker.
