She died after the 1850 census in Clay Co., Kentucky.[2] A previous version of this profile claimed, without source, that she died in 1853.
Possible children include:
William Bowling, b about 1827; m 17 Nov 1856 Tamari's White in Mercer, West Virginia.[3] His marriage record identifies him as son of John Bowling and Sallie.
Charles Boling, b abt 1832 Patrick, Virginia; m 30 Jun 1857 in Mercer, WV, Lucy M. Brammer.[4] His marriage records names his parents as John Boling and Sarah; and his birth place as Mercer, VA
Research Notes
A previous version of this profile included a source for a son John Bowling, born in 1858,[5] but she would have been too old to have had a child at that time.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Sarah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Sizemore-1186 and Sizemore-1121 appear to represent the same person because: While the dates are different, these two profiles represent the wife of John Bowling.
Sizemore-1121 and Bowling-1316 appear to represent the same person because: Her father is Edward Sizemore and her mother is Louanna Bowling. She married John Jack Bowling. Who was a relative of her mother.
I'm not so sure, Marlena. We need more sources. There are two sources on this page. The 1850 census definitely has a Sally, b abt 1795, most likely wife of John Bowling, including children Mary, James, Richard and Sally (no John; and only two of those names overlap with the children currently linked here).
But the birth record listed at the bottom of this profile is for a John Bowling born in 1858-- far too young to be son of THIS Sally Bowling. That birth record also claims his father was a James Bowling.
The other profile that you've proposed a merge with includes no sources at all.
This is an opportunity to confirm by finding reliable sources that Sarah/Sally Sizemore, daughter of Edward, married John Bowling; put another way: or confirm the maiden name / parents of the wife of John Bowling.
I have a few records I am finding as well as trees with her and her husband John on. Her maiden name is not listed, the only document I can find is a Sarah Henson. Which looks to be a second wife of John. I'll dig deeper on ancestry after I renew it.
Julianne, I did an ancestry test recently. I matched as a relative to Sarahs sisters family (Catherine) The lines match to our closest ancestor being Edward Sizemore.
I will look for more text confirmation. But I do believe in that proof as well.
