Charlie was the son of Jones Jackson Sizemore. A son of Charlie's completed yDNA testing through FamilyTreeDNA which showed haplotype I-M253 - not of Native American ancestry. The family lore of Cherokee ancestry is strong, however. Perhaps another ancestor of Dr. John "Gourd" Sizemore will test and publish the results. Meanwhile we thank the children of Charlie for their participation and invite them to join WikiTree and complete their father's profile.
