George worked most of his life in the timber related industry. He worked for Charlie and Bob Decker for many years. He also worked for Merchant's Saw Mill, George Kimball Logging, and Cedar Log and Lumber. At one time George served on the Waverly Township Board.
George was a father figure to his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, always finding time for fishing, softball games in the yard, picking mushrooms, snowmobiling, and hunting. He loved a good story and could tell some tales to entertain anyone who would listen. He enjoyed people and being with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
George was survived by his brothers, Tom and Peggy Skuse of Onaway and Sid and Betty Skuse; sister, Willette Sagle of Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada; his aunt, Nora Skuse of Lake Wales, FL and Onaway; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
