Mable was born in Herkimer, New York, to David and Fanny Slocum in 1877, the youngest of 4 children. Her brothers were Chester, born in 1871, Franklin in 1874, and George in 1875. She married Burton Snyder and they Mabel in 1898, Lynn in 1902 and Burton Charles Jr. in 1907.

Mabel passed away in 1908 and is buried in Oakview Cemetery, Frankfort, Herkimer County, New York, USA.
