Minerva was born in 1834 according to the 1850 census of Greenup County, Kentucky where she is found age 16 living in the household of her parents Joab Slone and Rhoda Johnson. [1]
Minerva Slone and John Johnson were listed as the parents of Jeremiah Johnson born 29 October 1855 Bear Creek, Carter County, Kentucky. [2]
In 1870 she was age 36 and living in the household of John Johnson with their children Isaac (age 17) and Jeremiah (age 15) on Bolts Fork, Boyd County, Kentucky. [3]
In the 1900 census John Johnson (age 68) and his wife Minerva Johnson (age 66) resided the Twin Branch District, Lawrence County, Kentucky. Living with them was their son Jeremiah Johnson (45). [4]
Research Notes
On Find A Grave you will find a couple named John Stafford Johnson [5] and Manerva Jane Cravens Johnson[6] who are buried in Burnt Prairie, White County, Illinois. While their birth dates are close to the couple in Lawrence County, Kentucky they are not the same persons.
