In Cabarrus County, North Carolina, on 25 December 1843, Caleb P Smith and Isreal Bost signed a bond to obtain a marriage license for Caleb to marry Abigail Bost.[2]
Caleb may have died before 1850. Abigail Smith and her two minor sons (George F (4), Caleb P (2)) were living with Solomon Bost in Cabarrus County in 1850.[3] George F received a bequest from Caleb's father in 1883.[1]
