Mary Bernice Smith was born September 10, 1895 in Winston, Daviess, Missouri, [1] and died May 14, 1987 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA. [1][2] She is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. [2]
SAULS, Mary Bernice, age 91, died May 14, 1987 at South Community Hospital. She was a longtime resident of OKC and for many years, a faithful member of Western Hills Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery for more than 25 years. Much of her life was devoted to caring for children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Sauls, Sr. Survivors are Leo L. Baker of Dallas, Tx., Ruby Henry, Tulsa, Ok., Roy E Sauls, Jr., Bartlesville, Ok., Joyce Brents of Cleveland, Ar., and Betty McAntir e of Yukon; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She will long be remembered as our blessed mother and for her love of all children. Services will be Monday, May 18, at 10am, at the Western Hills Baptist Church, interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Capitol Hill Funeral Home. [2]
She married, first, William Eli Baker (1894-1927) on November 17, 1916 in Las Animas, Bent County, Colorado. [3] After he died, on February 2, 1935 in Oklahoma City, she married Roy E. Sauls. [4]
