Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1704 in Exeter, New Hampshire, the daughter of Theophilus Smith and Mary Stanyan.

She married Nehemiah Gilman. [1] They had the following children:

Theophilus.

Nehemiah, who married Elizabeth Mead.

John, who married Olive Neal.

Eliphalet, who married Sarah Hardy.

James.

David, who married Molly Connor.

Elizabeth, who married Thomas Folsom.


Her father, Theophilus Smith died in 1736, leaving a will which named his children: Mary Tilton, Dorothy Sanburn, Elizabeth Gilman, Lidia Wadleigh, and Theophilus Smith.
