Biography

Burial: UNKNOWN. Previously thought to be buried in the Moses A. Smith Place Cemetery, Cumberland VA on Davenport Road. This is unlikely. More likely that he was buried west of this location on his own property, or that of the Smith Chapel.

One submitter at FamilySearch says "Bird Jones Smith"[1]

Byrd was born in 1763. He was the son of Robert Smith and Elizabeth Unknown. He passed away in 1827.

He married First "Gillea" Arnold 15 Sep 1789 in Cumberland. He married Secord Sally Dowdy 14 Jan 1822 in same.
