Biography

Melba Smith was enumerated as daughter of the head of household in Smackover, Union County, Arkansas for the April 15, United States Census, 1930. She was noted as born 1919 in Arizona and single as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Herchel Smith, wife Ethel Smith, daughter Alma Smith, daughter Georgia Smith, daughter Doris Smith, daughter Emogene Smith, son Junior Smith and son Leroy Smith.[1]

On April 1, 1935, Melva Clark lived in rural Union County, Arkansas.[2]

Melva Clark was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Magnolia Highway, El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas for the April 15, United States Census, 1940. She was noted as born 1919 in Arizona and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Hershel Smith, wife Bea Smith, son Hershel Smith, son Leroy Smith, son Robert Smith, son Johnie Smith and daughter (granddaughter) Patrica Clark.[2]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[3] Melba Smith Clark is buried at Redwood Memorial Cemetery in West Jordan, Salt Lake County, Utah, USA, Plot: Reverence 414-D.[4]
