Trumpeteer Charles Smith served with 4th Continental Light Dragoons, Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Charles Smith was born on September 20, 1752 in Albemarle Parish, Sussex, Virginia. He was the son of Josiah Smith andElizabeth Collier.

He married Martha Chambliss on October 3, 1799 in Sussex, Virginia.[1]

He died October 20, 185- in Miller County, Missouri.
