Calvin Smith son of Jeremiah Smith and Joanna (Dillon) Smith, was born on 20 Sep. 1812 in Pike County, Mississippi.^[1]

He passed away on 23 Jun 1881 in Washington Parish, Louisiana and was buried at Jerry Smith Cemetery, Washington Parish, Louisiana. His memorial has biographical material, a photo of his headstone with the dates of his birth and death and links to those of family members.^[1]
