Biography

Calvin Smith son of Jeremiah Smith and Joanna (Dillon) Smith, was born on 20 Sep. 1812 in Pike County, Mississippi.[1]

He married Ann Crews and had 2 children.[1]

He married Sarah Brumfield and had 15 children. [1]

He was a farmer when he and Sarah appeared on the census of 18 Oct. 1850 at Police District 1, Pike County, Mississippi.[2] He was a farmer when he and Sarah appeared on the census of 24 July 1860 at Pike County, Mississippi.[3]

He passed away on 23 Jun 1881 in Washington Parish, Louisiana and was buried at Jerry Smith Cemetery, Washington Parish, Louisiana. His memorial has biographical material, a photo of his headstone with the dates of his birth and death and links to those of family members.[1]
