William was born in Sevier, Tennessee on the 29th of January in 1882. When he was 16, he lived in the close-knit area of Jones Cove. But by the time of WWI draft, he was already in Arkansas with his parents.
OCR scans often associate his moniker and middle name with "Brummet." But an examination of the actual images from the U.S. Census of 1900 and his draft card, suggest his middle name was "Burnnet" or "Burnnett."
After settling down in Arkansas, he had many children with his wife Lou,[1] and probably lived to see the mid- to late-1970s.[2]
