Biography

Kingston baptism record Jan. 24 1720, #2743 in Hoes, lists parents as Jury Snyder and Christina Thunies. Witnesses were Jan Willem Snyder and Christina Oderpag (maternal grandmother?).[1]

Jones (1985) also uses Aug. 22 1794 death date.

Indenture of Release for Land Transaction

25 March, 1777, an "indenture of release" was made between Johannis Snyder of the town of Kingston , esq., Johannis Van Vliet and Seletje his wife of the same place. Michael Devoe and Elizabeth his wife of the precinct of New Paltz, Johannis Felton Junior and Maria his wife of Kingston, aforesaid heirs and devicers(?) of Jury Snyder late of the Township of Kingston, deceased, and Arthur McKinney of the Precinct of Shawangunk on the other part, regarding a prior land transaction that had occurred between Arthur McKinney and Jury.[2]
