Biography

Jacob Hilliard Synder was born 19 September 1831 in Pennsylvania, United States, to Jonathan Snyder and his wife, Sarah Hoffman, both of whom were born in Pennsylvania.[1]

He married Ellen D. Menzies Snyder on 10 Aug 1854 in Knox County, Ohio.[2]

Jacob married Ella M (Harris) Snyder (1855-1946) 21 September 1876 in Wayne, Ohio.[3] Children of Ella Harris and Jacob Hilliard Snyder are

Military Service 2 May 1864 Ohio. Rank at enlistment Sergeant, State Served Ohio, Survived the War? Yes. Service Record: Enlisted in Company C, Ohio 169th Infantry Regiment on 13 May 1864. Mustered out on 4 Sep 1864 at Camp Cleveland, Ohio.[4]

He died on 18 May 1920 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio and was buried in Wooster Cemetery, Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio.[5]
