Edward is listed in the 1900 Census with his mother Madeline Sockalexis. He is single and 18 years of age and his mother is 59.[1] Edward Sockalexis married Mary Olive Tomah (formerly Dana) on 29 Aug 1911 in Old Town, Indian Island, Knox, Maine, USA. The record lists his parents as Joseph M Sockalexis and Martha Socabesin.[2] Edward Joseph's United States World War I Draft Registration 1917-1918 shows his birth date of 02 May 1882 and is Nationality as "United States'[3] Edward Sockalexis lived in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, USA according to the 1930 Census. He was 48 and married.[4] Edward Sockalexis according to the J. Gary Nichols Cemetery Collection, c. 1780-1999 was buried in the Old Town, Penobscot, Maine, USA Penobscot Indian Cemetery. He died in 1944.[5]
