Biography

Solastie, or Lastie, Soileau, son of Etienne Soileau and Nanette Veillon, was born on 27 April 1824 and baptized on 2 July 1824 the birth and baptism were recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

He married Adele Lemoine, daughter of Joseph Lemoine and Louise Dubuisson on 3 March 1851 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

He was a planter when he and Adele appeared on the census of 8 Oct. 1860 at Opelousas, St Landry Parish, Louisiana.[2]

Solastie died before 14 July 1866 the date of his succession in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]
