Biography

Esther was born in 1738 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the daughter of Samuel Soper Jr and Esther Littlefield Soper. She married Silas Briggs in 1754 in Berkley, Mass.

Children of Silas Briggs and Esther his wife are as follows:

• Asa Briggs born June the 22nd 1755
• Phebe born Jan 28 1757
• Luce (Lucy) born Feb 15 1759
• Alles (Alice) born Oct 14 1863
• Elias born Feb 16 1868

She passed away in 1812 and is burtied at the Elmwood Cemetery, Barre Vermont.
