On Mar 19, 1743/44, Gideon was warned out of Duxbury, Massachusets.
Gideon Soule Was said to be a very eccentric, and many carious stories were told of his strange doings. Once he was passing the night at a minister's house.
He kept the family awake by preaching, alone, in his room at night. A guardian was appointed for him in 1750, as he was judged non, compos mentis (not sane or in one's right mind).[2] On June 6, 1750 John Hunt was appointed his guardian, non compos mentis and on February 25, 1752 he sold Gideon's legacy on his behalf.[3]
In 1751, his guardian John Hunt presented an account of Gideon's guardianship to the probate court, petitioning for payment against his estate.[4]
In 1751, his inventory was recorded in Plymouth. It consisted of a lot of land containing about 4 acres and a cow.[5]

In 1753, he was living in Duxbury and with no relations to support him, the selectman of Duxbury petitioned Plymouth Sessions Court to charge the Town of Pembroke with his maintenance.[8]

Gideon Soule dies in the year 20 May 1754 at Pembroke, Plymouth, Massachusetts.
the date Mercy married James Whiton of Plympton, MA. A coroner was paid for "taking an inquisition on the body of Gideon Soule" at the April 1760 court.[17]
Notes
MFIP, George Soule, states Gideon was born at Duxbury, MA on October 15, 1717. No records were found nor does MFIP give any citations for this event.
