Biography

Merchant at Little Yadkin, NC, also postmaster from 1844-1849. This community is now Dalton NC. Their home was about two miles north of what is now King.
7:3357. April 29, 1817. Br. and Sr. Kluge went ten miles to the home of Br. Salomon and Sr. Maria Spönhauer, and Br. Kluge baptized in their house their little daughter, Maria Elisabeth, born on the 21st of this month.
8:3661 refers to his having an inn
A schoolhouse was built near his property in the 1820s, and is mentioned in several references in vol. 8.
