Biography

Harvey B. Sparks was born October 9, 1878, the son of William Anderson Sparks and Martha Lucas Sparks. Harvey married Anna Catherine Sink. Harvey and Anna are found on the United States census of 1910, living in Garness, Burke county, North Dakota with their four eldest children. We know from the census that Harvey was born in Illinois and Anna was born in Iowa. ^[1]

By 1920, Harvey and his family were living in Clayton, Burke county, North Dakota. Their eldest son, Merritt / Marritt W. Sparks was 18 and still living at home with five younger siblings. ^[2]

In 1930, Harvey and his family were living in Ward, Burke county, North Dakota. Five children are still living at home, the youngest, Lyle W. born in 1926. ^[3]

Harvey died November 27, 1950 and is buried in the Little Butte Cemetery, in Bowbells, Burke county, North Dakota. ^[4]
