Biography

William was born about 1811. William was the child of Richard Sparks and Sarah Peterson.

He married Martha Scarborough.

In 1850 William and Martha were living in Georgia with 8 children: Mary, John Richard, Sarah, Susan, Polk, Elizabeth, Cass and Emily. ^[1]

In 1860 they were living in Tennessee with 8 children: James Polk, Elizabeth, William Cass, Emily, Tabitha, Hiram T, Almarinda C, and Deniza. ^[2]

In 1870 they were living in Georgia with 3 children: Talitha, Alniarinda, and Thomas. ^[3]

In 1880 John and Martha were living with their son John Richard and his wife Nelpha in Texas. ^[4]

William passed away in 1891.

Buried in First Street Cemetery, Waco, McLennan County, Texas ^[5]

William and Martha are both listed on their daughter Talitha's death record from 1926. ^[6]
