William Davan “Bill” Spearman, 88, passed away on June 17, 2014 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.
The graveside service will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 20, 2014, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC with the Rev. Ken Lane and Rev. Greg Spearman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Clover, SC.
Mr. Spearman was born January 24, 1926 in Inman, SC to the late Samuel David Spearman and Lillie Belle Lowe Spearman. He retired from Celanese in Rock Hill after 33 years of service and was a US Army, WWII veteran.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Dean, Trent, Charles, and Norris Spearman.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lillie Belle Farris Spearman; four children, Steve Spearman (Debbie) of Ninety Six, SC, Sheila Vines (Ned), Mary Spearman, and Joe Spearman (Patty) all of Clover; sister Diane Patterson; brother Marvin Spearman; seven grandchildren, Alan Spearman (Katie), Stacie Spearman, and Allen Vines, all of Clover, Greg Spearman (Anna Kayla) of Ninety Six, Leslie Williams (Joel) of Anderson, SC, Nora Vines of Vilas, NC, Angela Vines of Duluth, GA; and nine great-grandchildren.
